Advice for Future Statements
There is a couple of things I would advise students about before they take essential computer skills. You will learn a lot of information that is extremely valuable for your other classes at Trinity. However, because there is a lot of information, there is also a lot of work and this work is explained perfectly in class. Therefore, I would advise you NOT to miss class. Unfortunately for me, I am an athlete and could not avoid missing class. The second thing I would tell you to do is to do your work as soon as possible after class. My reasoning for you doing your work asap after class is because there is always little instructions that you forget how to do when you sit down to complete your work. You will spend many night frustrated at a computer, wanting to throw it through a wall if you wait to complete your homework. Trust me! I would know. I have always hated working with computers and I spent many nights before classes expressing my dislike for these machines. Thankfully, I was able to improve my skills with computers and actually spend more time completing my work than yelling at the screen. Finally, if your in Professor Belisle's class and you need help talk to her! She has been the most helpful, caring, and understanding Professor that I have encountered. Again, I am an athlete and missed class from time to time, but I tried to show her that I was trying to stay up to date with my work and she went out of her way to help me countless times. I'm sure if you show her that your interested she will do the same for you.

Favorite Websites
My favorite websites were created by Brittany Flores, Elizbeth Hatch, and Andrew Gill. I really enjoyed Brittany's website because it had an extremely personal touch to it. I liked how she displayed her favorite music and her poetry. Elizabeth Hatch's website was priceless because of the simplicity her website displayed. It masterfully presented her personality with little depth. Andrew Gill's website was the complete opposite of Elizabeth Hatch's!!! He showed his personality in great depth through the Trinity Buildings. I never knew a building could show such emotion. Please visit my own website at www.cs.trinity.edu/~drobusto.

HTML Code
Html code is important for many reasons. Html code is the building blocks for internet web designers. Programs do exist that make life easier and allow for a faster more efficient creation of a website. However, these programs can stop working at any point in time and if a web designer did not understand how to use html code, he/she would not be able to create their web site. Therefore, it is important to understand and be able to use html code when these programs falter.

Power Point Evaluation
I really enjoyed Brittany’s presentation about Psychology in Jury Selection. Brittany's presentation was extremely information and she definitely knew her area of interest well. I liked how she focused on one part of psychology rather than being vague and broad with her presentation. I also enjoyed Brittni Scrugs presentation about Academic Medicine. She did a really good job with her animations and transitions. Brittni knew her subject extremely well and was extremely excited and charismatic about her future in this field.

Power Point Presentation
I found the articles about power points extremely humorous. The reason I found these articles humorous is because when I was in high school my teachers did not present their power points in this fashion. They would normally have terrible color schemes, a ton of words on each slide, and they would never add any new ideas to their lecture. I would strongly suggest to my fellow class mates to keep their power points simple. I would be well prepared with the information that I wanted to discuss and use the slides as a reminder of what I was talking about. My five guidelines for a power point would be: keep it simple, use at least 28 size font, use a legible color scheme, limit the words on each slide, and avoid using clip art. The idea that I found annoying about a really bad power point was when the author talked about the presenter handing out the slides after the presentation. I have had a lot of teachers read their slides and then hand them to me as I left the class. I always wondered why I was forced to attend the class when I could simply receive a copy of their slides.

Chris Nolan Presentation
During this presentation I learned how to use google more efficiently. I learned how to use the advance search to limit my search to avoid commericial sites such as: .edu, .gov, and .org. Not only did I learn how to limit the domain, but I also learn how to use google scholar. Google scholar allows you to search scholarly websites much like the Trinity online library. The one idea that surprised me was the online directories. I did not know that there was a librarian index or a my info directory online.

The Sonny Bono Act.
I learned about the Sonny Bono act. The act was proposed in 1998 and the act extended the term of a copyright for twenty years. The reason the bill was passed was to insure that Disney was able to keep the rights of Mickey Mouse and other cartoon characters. The problem with this act is the fact that a new bill is going to have to be passed in 2018. I believe that Disney should be able to hold the rights of their cartoon characters. However, instead of merely extending the term the act should have been specialized. They should have extended the copyright term for certain companies or given these companies the copyright for an infinite amount of time. Since the act was not specialized certain works of literature that should be in the public domain are not. This causes problem for any one who wants to use these works of literature, but are still unable to because this act extended the term for all copyrights.
